COVID-19 Update

At midday on May 29, 2020, we entered a new phase under the New Zealand Covid-19 Alert Level 2.
Restrictions were lifted, but we must operate under strict conditions, which are outlined below:

Funeral Services

Gatherings of up to 100 people are allowed for funerals and tangihanga. For larger groups, we will need to create defined spaces for multiple groups of 100, but these groups will not be allowed to mix. Our Funeral Directors will utilise the use of web streaming technology to ensure those unable to attend in person, can view the service from the safety of their own home.
The Ministry of Health requires us to capture the details of all people attending our services for tracking and tracing purposes only. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
We can serve food and drink within our reception lounges, so please talk to us about your catering needs.

Cremations and Burials

Under Alert Level 2 cremations and burials will still take place, Cemeteries and crematoria are open and we can liaise with your chosen crematorium or cemetery for their guidelines under Alert Level 2.

Funeral arrangements can occur in our funeral home by appointment only. Please call ahead to make an appointment to visit the funeral home. We may need to limit the numbers attending the arrangement to respect social distancing protocols.

Viewings can occur by appointment only. The number of people who will be able to view the deceased at one time
may need to be negotiated with the funeral director. This depends on the size of the viewing room, taking into
consideration social distancing and hygiene requirements. We will also keep a register for contact tracing purposes.

Our Facilities

We welcome you to our facilities. To help us manage everyone’s safety please call ahead if you are need to come to us. We will schedule a time for you to visit. Before and after your visit we will ensure all commonly touched objects and surfaces are cleaned.

Healthy Grieving

Know that you aren’t alone. These limitations will have an effect on the way we honour those we’ve lost but we are committed to helping you find innovative ways to connect with your loved ones and can still offer counselling over the phone.
